Lifestyle
Lifestyle
is the big buzz word these days, people are beginning to realise what a big
part lifestyle plays in our health and well-being. Unfortunately for the majority of people,
lifestyle is what we all want, but for one reason or another, are unable to get
a handle on.
Working
all week and catching up on the chores at weekends is not a lifestyle that
excites us, it is however what thousands of us do year in year out. Most of us have to work for a living and
this, coupled with day-to-day existence is a huge drain on our time.
Since time is such a valuable commodity it’s
up to us to make sure that we spend our time wisely and we should do everything
in our power to make the most of it.
If
you’re in a time poor situation for whatever reason, it might be an idea to
take a good hard look at where your time is going. Sit down with a pen and paper and plan your
week, see if you can juggle your commitments to your advantage.

Be ruthless!
Are you watching television because you enjoy it or are you doing it out
of habit. Here’s a useful tip, read the
TV guide, decide what you want to watch and then only turn the TV on for those
programmes. These are some of the things
you could do if you turned your television off for just one hour.
·
Take a walk.
·
Relax in a warm bath
·
Put your feet up and listen to
your favourite music, while reading a book.
·
Do a crossword, a puzzle or
play Scrabble. (with the kids?)
·
Meditate
·
Write a letter, start a diary
·
Get out the photographs and
take a trip down memory lane. Be warned,
the whole family will usually get sucked into this one!

Lifestyle
is all about having a certain amount of time in which to do that which gives us
pleasure. We need to know that we’ve
got that time on a regular basis so that we can savour the enjoyment of
expectation as well as the activity itself
For
families or partnerships, time
together is very important, the joy of sharing is something every human should
experience. We are by nature social beings, and we need interaction with each
other. If you live alone make time for
friends and get together. Aim to get the
most out of every day.
Make
a big effort to have some more time in your life for yourself and loved ones,
it will pay handsome dividends in the end.
